APPLICATION OF SELECTED LIGHT EQUIPMENT

After selecting a suitable light fitting another important aspect is correct positioning and installation of the equipment, key factors that need to be addressed are as follows;

Lux levels on working plane – Mounted too high or low will impact the amount of light hitting the working plane.

Light uniformity – Incorrect space to height ratio will give poor light uniformity and could cause dark spots or uneven lighting on the working plane.

Colour of lamp or light source – One must ensure that the right Correlated Colour Temperature (CCT) is selected for the environment to be illuminated, typical applications would be;

  • Office 4000K
  • Residential 2700K-3000K
  • General warehousing 6500K

Note:If applied incorrectly it is well documented that it can affect people's performance and comfort levels occupying these spaces negatively.
